Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support for funeral operations in Douglasville, GA. You will interact with the public, assist on services, and help with cremations and related activities with compassion and professionalism.

The role requires strong customer service skills, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to handle sensitive tasks.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
Proficient with MS Office suite and databases preferred; ability and willingness to learn required.

Responsibilities

Prepares for services including setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes for client families.
Prepares documents related to services, cremations, maintenance and related activities as directed by management.
Assists with respectful preparation of remains, including dressing and lifting, or operation of crematory as permitted by law.
Performs office duties such as answering phones, operating fax, computer, phone system, debit card machine, and other equipment.
Runs errands for floral delivery and supplies; assists with visitation, chapel setup and services.
Drives funeral home vehicles for services and transporting families; ensures refreshments are available where allowed.
