Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases; ability and willingness to learn required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services including floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes; ensures proper care and storage.
• Prepares documents related to services, cremations, maintenance as directed by management.
• Assists with preparation of remains and operation of crematory as permitted by law and company policy.
• Answers phones and operates office equipment including fax, computer, multiline phone system, debit card machine, etc.
• Runs errands for floral delivery, supplies, and documents.
• Acts as an usher and may park cars or handle transportation needs.
• Drives Funeral Home vehicles for services and family pickups.
• Ensures refreshments are available where allowed by law.
• Assists with visitations and services including setup and delivery of family items and flowers.
• Greets clients and provides information and assistance at the office.
• Accommodates family needs during service and visitation.
• May assist with cleaning funeral home vehicles as needed.
