Job summary

Cherry Place Funeral Home of Waring, Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Cherry Place in Fall River, MA is seeking a part-time receptionist to welcome families, route calls, and support front-desk operations.

You will handle clerical tasks, maintain filings, receive mail, and help ensure a respectful environment for clients. Prior office experience and MS Office familiarity are a plus; weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months general office or receptionist experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
• Willingness to work Saturdays and/or Sundays and beyond standard hours.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and visitors, offering assistance when entering the building.
• Notifies staff when appointments arrive and escorts guests to appropriate room.
• Answers routine questions about services, products, and directions.
• Notifies management of customer service or security issues.
• Receives deceased belongings and follows chain of custody procedures.
• Answers and routes incoming calls to the appropriate staff.
• Maintains a comfortable environment, offering beverages to families as needed.
• Keeps guest area tidy and handles mail and packages.
• Maintains organized files and records, including deeds and trusts.
• May perform light typing, proofreading, data entry, or printing.
