Job summary

StepStone Family & Youth Services is seeking a Foster Care Case Manager to support children and foster families through advocacy, service coordination, and individualized case management. The role emphasizes trauma-informed, strengths-based, and family-centered practices to promote safety, permanency, and well-being.

The candidate will monitor placements, develop treatment plans, maintain documentation, and collaborate with foster parents, biological families, schools, and healthcare providers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, sociology, psychology, counseling, or related human services field and two years' experience working with children and families.
• A bachelor's degree in social work, sociology, psychology, counseling, or related human services field and five years' experience with a placing agency working with troubled children and families may be considered in lieu of a graduate degree.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor services for foster children and families.
• Maintain weekly contact with foster families, children, and bio-families; prepare progress reports.
• Develop individual treatment plans and train foster families; conduct home studies and evaluations.
• Attend court and planning meetings; coordinate with schools, agencies, and community partners.
