Job summary

S.E. Combined Services of Florida seeks a Family Service Counselor to serve client families by arranging at-need and pre-need cemetery plans. You will lead generation, build trusted relationships, and collaborate with funeral directors to deliver compassionate, reliable service.

Responsibilities include prospecting, handling inquiries, preparing for appointments, and educating families on benefits of planning ahead. Shift flexibility includes evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years college or equivalent education.
• 1-2 years customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Insurance license if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Lead generation: prospect at least 1-2 hours daily, obtain referrals, network and present to families.
• Build relationships with families: respond professionally, listen actively and address needs.
• Provide value: educate families on pre-planning and secure referrals.
• Teamwork: coordinate with funeral directors and staff for seamless service.
• Prepare for appointments with attention to detail and follow up on issues.
