Job summary

InnovAge in Florida seeks a Driver – Participant Care to transport frail and elderly participants to Day Centers and appointments, deliver meals, and assist at homes. You will perform pre/post trip inspections, coordinate with dispatch, and support care plans for participants.

The position requires daytime Monday–Friday work with some Saturday/holiday shifts, and an emphasis on safety and compassionate service in a patient-centered team.

Qualifications

• Must have DOT and defensive driving experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with frail or elderly individuals.
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) required.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Drives InnovAge vehicles safely and follows policies and routes.
• Loads/unloads participants and assists them into/out of homes.
• Transports participants to pre-arranged appointments.
• Delivers in-home meals, supplies, and medications.
• Assists participants with simple tasks and maintaining walkways.
• Keeps Dispatch updated on route events and coordinates vehicle maintenance.
• Participates in interdisciplinary care planning for participants.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
