Job summary

InnovAge Driver – Participant Care in Colorado supports frail and elderly participants by transporting them to Day Centers, appointments, and field trips, while also delivering meals and picking up supplies and medications. The role requires in-home interaction and on-site duties at InnovAge facilities or participant homes.

The schedule is Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays and holidays; DOT and defensive driving experience are preferred, and candidates must meet licensure and

Qualifications

• DOT and defensive driving experience.
• One year of experience working with the frail or elderly.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent can substitute.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Drives InnovAge vehicles safely and follows policies and routes.
• Loads/unloads participants and assists into/out of vehicles and homes.
• Transports participants to pre-arranged appointments.
• Delivers in-home meals, supplies and medications to participants.
• Assists participants into homes and helps with simple tasks as needed.
• Keeps Dispatch updated on events of assigned routes.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness of vehicle; coordinates van maintenance.
• Assists other drivers with loading/unloading at centers.
• Participates in Plans of Care for InnovAge PACE participants and interdisciplinary teams.
• Other duties may be assigned by supervisor.
