Job summary

InnovAge Driver – Participant Care provides transportation for frail and elderly participants from home to Day Centers and appointments, with meals and supplies deliveries as part of daily duties.

Physical attendance at InnovAge facilities or participants' homes is essential. Schedule is Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays/holidays. Mandatory DOT/defensive driving experience and ability to lift up to 75 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• DOT and defensive driving experience are required.
• One year of experience working with the frail or elderly.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent substituted experience.

Responsibilities

• Drives InnovAge vehicles safely and responsibly following routes.
• Loads/unloads participants and assists with entry/exit.
• Transports participants to pre-arranged appointments.
• Delivers in-home meals, supplies and medications to participants.
• Assists participants with outerwear and moving items obstructing walking paths.
• Keeps Dispatch updated on route events and coordinates vehicle maintenance.
• Participates in interdisciplinary care planning for PACE participants.
