Job summary

Minnewaska Community Health Services in Hoffman, MN is seeking a part-time Care Attendant to provide personal care and health-related services to residents, promoting wellbeing and independence.

The role requires English proficiency, sensitivity to elder care, and the ability to pass a state background check. Preferred ACNA/NAR or HHA certification but not mandatory, with on-site duties and ongoing dementia training.

Qualifications

• ACNA/NAR or HHA certificate is preferred, but not required.
• The Care Attendant must possess sensitivity and aptitude for working with the elderly.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English and complete a state background study form.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal cares (shampooing, showering, lotions, nail and foot care).
• Administer or assist with medications as delegated by RN.
• Support residents with dressing, grooming and oral care.
• Promote independence and desired activities for residents within the care plan.
• Follow health policies, safety rules and dementia training requirements.
