Job summary

Minnewaska Community Health Services seeks a Care Attendant/NAR to provide personal care and health-related services designed to maintain residents' wellbeing. Reports to the Executive Director, with duties including assistance with daily living, medication support, and activity facilitation.

The role requires English proficiency, ability to follow care plans, and adherence to training and ethical standards. A stimulating, team-oriented environment supports residents’ comfort and independence.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Complete and pass state required background study.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal cares including bathing, hair care, grooming, and basic treatments as instructed.
• Manage medication assistance as delegated by the RN.
• Support residents with meals and monitor intake under supervision.
• Take and record vital signs as instructed (temperature, BP, pulse, respirations).
• Observe changes in residents and report to the RN promptly.
• Promote independence and assist with activities of daily living.
• Attend in-service training and participate in resident activities.
