Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD in Scotch Plains, NJ. Starting pay is $23/hour (non-acuity) or $33/hour (acuity) with a $1,000 signing bonus paid after meeting hours targets.

The role involves hands-on support at home, in the community, and in the workplace, helping clients build independence while promoting safety and well-being.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal, driving, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs.
• Lifting may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support to help individuals build independence at home, in the community, and in the workplace.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meals, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development.
