Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD in Scotch Plains, NJ. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with individuals and support personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meals, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and skill development.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound Health team, families and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
