Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Plainsboro, NJ to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. Duties include assisting with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

Starting pay ranges from $23/hour non-acuity to $33/hour acuity, plus a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments. Benefits include flexible schedules, weekly pay, paid onboarding and training, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Able to pass criminal, driving, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to assist with personal care when necessary.
• Lifting may be required depending on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on support to help individuals build independence at home, in the community, and at work.
• Build positive relationships and assist with personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal prep, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and help develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
