Job summary

Atria Senior Living in Foster City, CA is seeking a Transportation Driver to provide safe, courteous shuttle and resident transport services within the community. This role requires operating 7- to 16-passenger vehicles, assisting residents, and following safety protocols.

Qualified candidates have a GED or high school diploma, 5+ years driving experience, a CDL, and ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and repairs. This position emphasizes resident care and community safety.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma with related experience or training.
• Five or more years of driving experience and knowledge of vehicle preventative maintenance.
• Commercial driver's license required to operate commercial size vehicles.
• Able to operate a seven to sixteen passenger bus and related equipment.
• Experience with basic on-road vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, courteous transportation for residents and support Engage Life/ Maintenance staff.
• Coordinate vehicle pre-maintenance, maintenance, and repair for longevity.
• Drive between community destinations according to schedule.
• Assist residents into and out of vehicles safely.
• Secure wheelchairs and ensure passenger safety during trips.
• Adhere to safe driving techniques at all times.
• Clean and service vehicles and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain daily/weekly trip inspections and maintenance records.
• Deliver groceries and belongings to resident apartments.
• Support activities and programs as needed by Engage Life Department.
