Job summary

Atria Senior Living in Foster City, CA is seeking a dedicated Driver to provide safe and courteous transportation for residents. You will operate a shuttle-style vehicle, assist passengers, secure wheelchairs, and follow established safety procedures on a daily schedule.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years driving experience, a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), ability to operate 7–16 passenger vehicles, and knowledge of local streets within an 8‑mile radius.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of driving experience with vehicle maintenance knowledge.
• Commercial driver's license required to operate large vehicles.
• Able to operate 7–16 passenger buses and related equipment.
• Knowledge of local streets within an 8-mile radius of the community.
• Must meet Atria Motor Vehicle Record policy standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, courteous transportation for residents as support staff.
• Drive to social and other destinations per schedule.
• Assist residents into and out of vehicles safely.
• Secure wheelchairs and monitor passenger safety during trips.
• Perform basic vehicle upkeep and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain daily/weekly trip inspections and records.
• Deliver groceries and belongings to residents’ apartments.
• Support Engage Life activities and programs as needed.
• Submit travel charges to the business office daily.
• Maintain a safe driving record per company guidelines.
• Handle emergencies and basic First Aid.
• Report unsafe conditions to leadership.
