Job summary

Atria Senior Living is seeking a Transportation Associate to provide safe, courteous driving for residents, assist them in and out of vehicles, and help with basic vehicle upkeep. The role requires a CDL and a strong focus on safety and customer care.

You will operate a range of vehicles, including buses, within the community and local area. Responsibilities include coordinating trips, ensuring passenger safety, and maintaining vehicle records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five+ years of driving experience and knowledge of vehicle preventative maintenance programs.
• Commercial driver’s license required to operate commercial size vehicles.
• Able to operate a 7–16 passenger bus and a limousine or car; basic vehicle maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicle from community to social and other destinations according to schedule.
• Assist residents into and out of the vehicle safely.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices during trips.
• Practice safe driving techniques at all times and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain daily/weekly trip and maintenance records; assist Engage Life staff as needed.
