Job summary

Atria Senior Living in Rocklin, CA is seeking a Driver to provide safe, courteous transportation for residents. You will manage vehicle pre-maintenance and assist residents in boarding, while keeping records of trips and maintenance.

The role requires a CDL, 5+ years of driving experience, and knowledge of vehicle maintenance. You may operate various passenger vehicles and assist with Engage Life activities, ensuring safety and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or 1–3 months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of driving experience and knowledge of vehicle preventative maintenance programs.
• Commercial driver's license required to operate commercial size vehicles.
• Able to operate 7–16 passenger bus; able to operate a limousine or car, tire changing equipment, First Aid Kit, wheelchair lift, and dollies/hand trucks.
• Experience with vehicle emergency repairs; able to change tires and handle minor on-road maintenance.
• Knowledge of streets within an 8-mile radius of the community.
• Position requires driving responsibilities (may use company or personal vehicle).
• Must meet Atria's Motor Vehicle Record Policy standards.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicle from community to social and other destinations per schedule.
• Assist residents into and out of vehicle safely.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraints to stabilize during trips.
• Practice safe driving techniques at all times.
• Clean and service vehicle; report maintenance needs.
• Maintain daily/weekly trip inspections and maintenance records.
• Deliver groceries and other belongings to residents’ apartments.
• Support Engage Life Department activities as needed.
• Submit charges to business office daily for travel expenses.
• Maintain a safe driving record per company guidelines.
• Handle emergencies and basic First Aid.
• Report unsafe conditions to the Executive Director.
• May perform other duties as needed.
