Job summary

Arc of Acadiana is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist residents in Community Group Homes, providing help with daily routines, personal care, and community involvement in a home-like setting.

Starting pay includes $12.50 for day/evening shifts and $9.50–$10.75 for night shifts. Full-time and part-time roles are available with Day, Evening, and Night shifts, and training is provided to ensure success in the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Experience in direct caregiving is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, mobility and hygiene.
• Encourage independence and participation while providing supervision and support.
• Help residents build daily living, social, and functional skills per individual plans.
• Remain with residents during shifts and respond to emergencies as trained.
• Assist with meal preparation and maintain sanitation of common areas.
