Job summary

ADEC Inc is seeking Direct Support Professionals to empower adults with disabilities in group homes or supported living sites. You will provide person-centered care, maintain a home-like environment, and help clients participate in their communities.

Roles offer hours that fit college schedules, including evenings, overnights, and weekends, with both full- and part-time options. Starting pay ranges from $16 to $17/hour, with step increases and weekend positions starting at $18/hour.

Qualifications

• No experience in this field or working with this population is required. ADEC has extensive paid training and lots of job coaching/shadowing for new staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care – bathroom needs, cleaning, meals, activities, and more
• Provide transportation – community-based activities, appointments, and outings in agency van and/or personal vehicle
• Administer medication and complete charting
• Support clients with behavioral challenges
• Prepare meals per dietary needs
• Assist with household chores – cleaning, laundry
• Empower to achieve goals and create opportunities
