Hope Network is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for 2nd shift in New Baltimore, MI. This full-time, on-site role helps individuals served achieve independence and community integration.

You will support daily living activities, monitor safety, attend medical appointments, and collaborate with care teams to implement plans. A strong commitment to empathy, reliability, and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid State of Michigan driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to become certified.
• Commitment to scheduled shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety 24/7 with regular checks.
• Support crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution.
• Establish trust-based relationships through effective communication.
• Foster partnership with individuals served, the community, and professionals.
• Assist with social, recreational, and daily living activities; facilitate transport and events.
• Assist with daily living tasks (getting ready, bathing, dressing, meals).
• Monitor vitals and relay medical information to care team.
• Promote positive behavior and participate in care planning.
• Attend medical appointments and document information accurately.
• Support community participation and career or educational goals.
