Job summary

Sunterra Springs Springfield is seeking aDietary Cook to prepare meals per planned menus in our health care facility. You will work under the guidance of the Dietary Manager or Administrator/Executive Director and support the Food Services department to meet residents' nutritional needs.

Required are a high school diploma (preferred), a current Food Handlers Permit, and the ability to work 18+ years. Prior supervisory dietary/food service experience is a plus, with focus on sanitation and

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Current/ Active Food Handlers Permit.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• One (1) year dietary/food service experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred (but not necessary).

Responsibilities

• Reviews menus prior to food preparation and prepares the meals.
• Works with the Dietitian/Director of Food Services as necessary and implements recommended changes as required.
• Performs other duties, as assigned.
• Ensures that food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Assists in establishing food service production line and prepares meals on time.
