Job summary

Topaz Fiscal Services is seeking a Dietary Cook to prepare, season, and cook meals for nursing home residents, staff, and visitors under the supervision of the Dietary Services Manager. This is a full-time role with every other weekend required.

The ideal candidate will have a high school degree, at least 1 year of institutional food service experience, and demonstrate compassion and patience when working with elderly residents and their families.

Qualifications

Minimum education: High school degree.
Experience: prefer a minimum of 1 years’ experience in institutionalized food service.
Compassionate and patient when working with elderly residents and families.

Responsibilities

Prepare the food for the residents.
Assist in cleaning up, kitchen maintenance.
Other duties include preparing snacks and taking inventory of food and kitchen supplies.
Cook must learn the protocols and procedures for their facilities, as well as the rules and regulations for the states where they work.
Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and responsibility.
Come to work in clean, neat clothing, and consistently present an appropriate appearance.
