Job summary

Sunterra Springs in Springfield, MO is seeking a Dietary Cook to prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and dietary guidelines. You will collaborate with the Dietitian and Food Services Director to implement approved changes and ensure quality, safety, and timely service for residents.

Ideal candidates hold a current Food Handlers Permit, are at least 18, and bring up to a year of supervisory dietary experience in healthcare settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Current/Active Food Handlers Permit
• Must be 18 years of age
• One year dietary/food service experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred

Responsibilities

• Reviews menus prior to food preparation and prepares meals.
• Works with the Dietitian/Director of Food Services as necessary and implements recommended changes.
• Prepares meals in accordance with planned menus and standardized recipes.
• Ensures food procedures follow established policies and safety standards.
• Maintains sanitation and proper storage of food and supplies throughout shifts
