Job summary

The Waters of Springfield is seeking a PRN Cook to join our TEAM. A Cook prepares meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, following dietary restrictions and offering alternatives for residents.

Must have a high school education or equivalent; one year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related setting is preferred. Candidates should cook in large quantities and maintain sanitation, quality, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or equivalent.
• One year dietary experience in hospital, skilled nursing, or related facility preferred.
• Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Must be knowledgeable of dietary procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with food preparation for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Provide alternatives for residents with dietary restrictions.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and hygienic standards.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and residents.
• Demonstrate confidentiality and professional appearance at all times.
