Job summary

PruittHealth in Durham, NC is seeking a Dietary Aide HCC to assist with food preparation under the Dietary Manager, stock and serve meals, and maintain sanitation of kitchen areas and equipment.

You will deliver trays, prepare nourishments, handle menu substitutions, and follow infection control and safety guidelines while providing courteous service to patients, residents and families. On-the-job training is provided; no prior experience is required.)

Qualifications

• Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• On-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook in preparing meals, desserts and/or snacks for patients/residents.
• Delivers trays to patients/residents on halls and serves meals in dining area.
• Prepares between-meal nourishments and records substitutions per guidelines.
• Cleans dining area and kitchen surfaces, handles waste, and follows infection control policies.
• Operates basic kitchen equipment and checks temperatures as required.
• Participates in mandatory education programs and adheres to safety regulations.
