Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assists cook in preparing meals, desserts and snacks for patients/residents.
• Delivers trays to patients/residents on halls.
• Delivers and serves meals in dining area; handles food and beverages.
• Prepares between-meal nourishments (sandwiches, etc.) and serves them per guidelines.
• Records menu substitutions as instructed by procedures.
• Assists with cleaning and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas.
• Follows infection control policies and safety procedures.
• Maintains proper storage of leftovers and opened foods.
• Communicates warmly with patients/residents and family members and addresses concerns.
