Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You’ll help maintain high food quality, adhere to safety standards, and support residents with friendly service.

The role emphasizes following recipes and dietary restrictions, with opportunities for hands-on training, benefits, and career development. Residency within the service area is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food preparation is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods.
• COVID-19 vaccination policies compliance.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification may be required by state/county law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
