Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will ensure quality, taste, and presentation while following food safety guidelines and supporting inventory needs.

The role emphasizes positive interaction with residents and staff, adherence to dietary requirements, and readiness to take on various duties as assigned. This is an on-site position with opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Previous cook or food preparation experience is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Complies with COVID-19 vaccination policies where required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• May need to complete approved sanitation/safety course.
• ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required by state/county law where applicable.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep a clean kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, delivering excellent service.
• All other duties as assigned.
