The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan serves as a caregiver to residents in long-term care, providing patient-centered nursing care under the supervision of an RN. Responsibilities include daily living assistance, vital signs, and support for meals, sanitation, and comfort.

Qualifikationen

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification provided by facility.
• A minimum of 12 hours continuing education annually; maintains required certifications.

Aufgaben

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of an RN.
• Assist with daily living activities including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and meals.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and walking; document care; communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Support wellness and recreational programs and assist with housekeeping and laundry as needed.
