Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at The Good Samaritan Society provides resident-centered nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse, assisting with daily living activities, vital signs, and basic health needs.

You will help with transfers, meals, laundry, and participate in wellness programs; the role requires CNA certification, a GED or high school diploma, and a willingness to meet ongoing training requirements.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required by the state/facility.
• GED or high school diploma preferred.
• Minimum age 16; prior long-term care experience preferred.
• Complete yearly competency testing and continuing education credits.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with transfers, positioning, ROM, and vital signs.
• Assist with meals, hydration, housekeeping, and laundry as needed.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Support wellness and recreational programs and participate in committees if needed.
