Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan Society is responsible for providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse. This role includes helping with bathing, grooming, mobility, vital signs, and documenting care interactions.

The NA supports meals, hydration, and participation in wellness activities, while ensuring infection control and safety policies are followed.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required and provided by facility.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Maintains continuing education credits and required certifications annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility; monitor vital signs.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to charge nurse.
• Support meals, hydration, and participation in wellness activities.
