Job summary

Kindred Hospital Albuquerque is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient care in a long-term acute care setting. You will assist nursing staff with daily living activities, monitor patients, and help ensure comfort, safety, and respectful treatment.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to follow directions from registered nurses. A high school diploma and BCLS are required or pursued, and CNA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CNA certification in state of practice preferred.
• BCLS certification within facility-specified timeframe (required).
• Minimum six months’ experience in acute or long-term care (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist professional nursing staff with patient care and activities of daily living.
• Monitor vital signs and record measurements accurately.
• Prepare rooms for admissions and transfers; maintain cleanliness.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges and handling of belongings.
• Answer call lights and paging; provide basic care and support.
• Assist with feeding and meal delivery; transport patients.
