Job summary

Kindred Hospital Melbourne ARU is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist nursing staff in daily patient care and support activities in the long-term care environment. You will help with activities of daily living, monitor patient needs, and ensure comfort and safety under supervision.

This role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, valid CNA certification, BLS, and good communication. You must be reliable, organized, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• Must hold active CNA certification with Florida credentials.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification required.
• Comfort with long-term care and hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides general nursing care and daily living assistance to patients.
• Takes and records vital signs and reports changes to the RN.
• Prepares patient rooms and assists with admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Answers call lights, phones, and paging systems; responds to patient needs.
• Assists with feeding, personal care, and routine treatments as directed.
• Maintains clean, safe patient areas and proper equipment functioning.
