Job summary

Kindred Hospital San Antonio is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff in a long-term acute care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor patients, and participate in care planning under RN supervision.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, and current CNA and BLS certifications. Prior LTAC or acute care experience is preferred; the team emphasizes compassionate patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CNA certification and BLS certification.
• Minimum six months’ experience in acute or long-term care.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in patient care in assigned area.
• Help patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Take and record vitals and input/output accurate data.
• Prepare rooms and assist with admissions/transfers/discharges.
• Respond to patient call lights and paging system promptly.
• Support routine treatments and feeding under RN/LVN supervision.
