Kindred Hospital Melbourne and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) is a 58-bed hospital offering extended recovery care with 47 LTAC beds, located near NASA Boulevard in Melbourne, FL.

We are seeking an aide to assist nursing staff with activities of daily living, vital signs, patient positioning, transfers, and basic care under RN supervision. CNA certification and BCLS are required; HS diploma preferred. 6 months of acute or long-term care experience is preferred. This is a full-time position.

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must have good and regular attendance.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities and function under stressful situations.
• Ability to maintain a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Mansioni

• Assist professional nursing personnel in providing patient care in assigned area.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care, provide emotional support.
• Take and record vital signs and document accurately and timely.
• Prepare patient room and equipment; maintain cleanliness and comfort.
• Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge procedures; handle patient belongings.
• Respond to patient call lights, telephone, and paging system promptly.
• Under RN direction, perform routine treatment procedures.
• Assist with restraints under RN supervision and ensure proper patient positioning.
• Assist with meals and feeding as needed.
