Job summary

The Alden Network is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide daily nursing care to residents in our Illinois facility. You will follow standards and policies, assist with activities of daily living, and support the care team under supervision.

Responsibilities include documentation, care planning participation, medication assistance as directed, and maintaining a warm, safe environment. US training/CPR certification preferred; 16+ years old with good character and reliable work history.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a nursing arts course and nursing assistant competency evaluation or military nursing assistant training.
• Must be at least 16 years old, with good character, honest and trustworthy.
• Provide evidence of employment/residence for two years prior to employment.
• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Must possess CPR certification or obtain within two weeks.
• Demonstrates interest in caring for the ill, disabled, and elderly; able to interact tactfully.
• Must read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when appropriate.
• Must work harmoniously with others.
• Must be personable, enthusiastic.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily nursing care in accordance with standards and policies.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Develop a written plan of care for each customer.
• Attend care plan conferences and resident/family meetings.
• Report concerns to the Administrator.
• Make rounds to ensure safety and comfort.
• Maintain a warm, calm environment in the department.
• Participate in in-service education programs.
• Assist in orientation of new Alden staff.
• Recommends equipment and supply needs.
