Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to provide daily resident care in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and facility policies. You will work under the direction of nursing leadership to ensure high-quality care and a supportive, compassionate environment for residents and families.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, reporting changes to the Nurse or Administrator, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing arts course with diploma or certificate.
• Be at least 16 years old and of good moral character.
• CPR certification or able to obtain within two weeks.
• Able to read, write and speak English clearly.
• Ability to work with residents, families, and staff with tact and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with daily nursing care following current standards and facility policies.
• Follow dress code and nursing procedures as per policy.
• Assist with activities of daily living for residents as directed by nursing staff.
• Report concerns or changes in resident condition to the Nurse or Administrator.
• Maintain a warm, calm environment and participate in in-service education.
• Assist with moving, room changes, discharge preparation, and inventory of residents’ personal items.
• Record intake/output and monitor changes in appetite and stool characteristics.
• Respond promptly to call lights and telephone requests.
• Support QA initiatives within the Nursing Department.
