Job summary

PACS in Lakeland, FL is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care in accordance with care plans and supervisor directions. You will identify residents, assist with daily activities, monitor health, document care, maintain confidentiality, and support a safe, welcoming environment.

This role emphasizes teamwork with nursing staff, adherence to policies, and readiness to respond to resident needs promptly.

Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of a 10th grade education.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Mathematical skills to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
• Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
• Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant; CPR preferred.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 25 pounds; ability to sit, stand, walk and operate office equipment.
• Work environment typically low to moderate noise.
• Note: Management reserves the right to assign or reassign duties.

Responsibilities

• Identify residents before administering treatments or meals using wristband/photo card.
• Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, charts in an informative manner.
• Report changes in residents' condition to Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information including protected health information.
• Assist residents with daily functions (dental, bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Assist with preparing residents for medical tests and transporting them as needed.
• Answer resident calls promptly and check on residents regularly.
• Observe and report signs of pressure areas and skin breakdowns to prevent ulcers.
