Job summary

PACS in Tampa, FL seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care per resident care plans. You will identify residents, assist with meals, hygiene, and mobility, and support supervised nurses to ensure comfort and safety.

You will document entries, report changes in condition promptly, and maintain privacy and security of resident information. CPR is preferred; a 10th grade education is required.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education.
• Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with laws of the state.
• CPR preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Identify residents before administering treatments, serving meals, etc.
• Record entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., in an informative, descriptive manner.
• Report changes in the resident’s condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information including HIPAA.
• Assist residents with daily functions (dental/mouth care, bathing, dressing).
• Prepare residents for medical tests and assist with transfers and mobility.
