Job summary

Mesa Hills Post Acute in Brownsville, TX is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care and services per care plans. Qualified candidates will hold a valid CNA license in the state, have at least a 10th grade education, and be able to communicate effectively with residents and staff

Qualifications

• Must possess a state CNA license.
• Minimum 10th grade education.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence; respond to questions from managers and employees.
• CPR certification may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify residents before administering treatments using wristbands or photo IDs.
• Follow facility policies for recording information with authorized abbreviations.
• Report changes in residents' condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse promptly.
• Record entries on flow sheets and charts accurately and descriptively.
• Assist residents with daily activities and personal care tasks.
• Escort residents to rooms, reassure and orient them, and maintain a warm, calm environment.
• Observe for skin issues and report pressure areas to prevent ulcers.
• Respond to resident calls promptly and ensure needs are met.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information and report any disclosures.
