Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (Primary Care) to support patients in both in-office clinical duties and coordinated care beyond visits. Responsibilities include rooming patients, vitals, injections, phlebotomy, EKGs, wound care, and assisting with procedures and medications per protocol.

The role emphasizes care coordination, chronic disease management, and referrals, with a patient-centered, outcomes-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is required (documentation is requested during application prior to interview)
• Two (2) years MA experience preferred
• Primary care or outpatient clinic experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic pharmacology
• Experience with team-based care models
• Care coordination or case management experience preferred
• Experience with adult and geriatric patients preferred
• EMR experience preferred; AthenaHealth ideal
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain medical history and vitals
• Administer injections/immunizations and perform phlebotomy
• Conduct EKGs and point-of-care testing
• Assist with minor in-office procedures and wound care
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up
• Support chronic disease management and prior authorizations
• Collaborate with extended care team to close gaps in care
