Job summary

Upperline Health, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (Primary Care) to support patients through in-office clinical duties and coordinated care beyond the visit. Responsibilities include rooming patients, collecting history and vitals, injections, phlebotomy, EKGs, and prior authorizations as needed.

The MA will coordinate referrals with the care team, assist with chronic disease management, and help close care gaps to improve patient outcomes in a fast-paced, patient-centered clinic.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required; documentation is requested during application prior to interview.
• Two years MA experience preferred; primary care or outpatient clinic experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic pharmacology.
• EMR experience preferred; AthenaHealth ideal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain medical history, vitals and consent.
• Administer injections/immunizations and perform phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Conduct EKGs and point-of-care testing; assist with minor procedures.
• Coordinate referrals/follow-up and support chronic disease management.
• Assist with prior authorizations and care coordination with the extended care team.
• Close care gaps to improve patient outcomes in a team-based setting.
