Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (Primary Care) to support in-office duties and care coordination beyond the visit. You will room patients, obtain history and vitals, administer injections, perform phlebotomy and EKGs, and assist with minor procedures and wound care.

The MA will coordinate referrals, follow-ups, and prior authorizations to close care gaps. CMA certification is required; 2 years MA experience preferred, especially in primary care; AthenaHealth EMR

Qualifications

• CMA certification is required; documentation is requested during application prior to interview.
• Two years MA experience preferred; primary care or outpatient clinic experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with team-based care models and care coordination is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic pharmacology.
• Experience with adult and geriatric patients is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain medical history and vitals, and document findings.
• Administer injections/immunizations and perform phlebotomy and EKGs.
• Perform wound care and minor in-office procedures as directed by provider.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up, support prior authorizations, and close care gaps.
• Support chronic disease management and partner with the care team.
