Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (Primary Care) to support patients through in-office clinical duties and coordinated care beyond visits. Responsibilities include rooming patients, vitals, injections, phlebotomy, EKGs, and wound care while coordinating referrals and managing care gaps.

The ideal candidate has CMA certification, 2 years MA experience (preferably in primary care), EMR experience (AthenaHealth preferred), and strong customer service skills for a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is required (documentation is requested during application prior to interview).
• Two (2) years MA experience preferred.
• Primary care or outpatient clinic experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic pharmacology.
• Experience with team-based care models.
• Care coordination or case management experience preferred.
• Experience with adult and geriatric patients preferred.
• EMR experience preferred; AthenaHealth ideal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain medical history and vitals.
• Administer injections/immunizations, perform phlebotomy and EKGs.
• Conduct point-of-care testing and assist with minor procedures.
• Wound care/dressing changes and medication administration per protocol.
• Coordinate referrals/follow-up and support chronic disease management.
• Assist with prior authorizations and collaborate with the care team.
