MedStar Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the patient-centered care team under RN supervision. You will assist with ADLs, vitals, specimen collection, IV care, and documentation while supporting the care team in procedures and patient transport.

The role requires completion of a PCT program and CNA certification, with experience in phlebotomy and EKG, and strong communication and math skills to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved Patient Care Technician training program required.
• CNA certification is required or preferred depending on department.

Responsabilités

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal hygiene.
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum, stool) and perform venipuncture/phlebotomy.
• Obtain EKGs and apply external telemetry monitoring devices.
• Document vital signs, intake/output, and other data in the health record.
• Support with patient transport, transfers, and coordination of care.
