Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nurses and clinicians in direct patient care. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a safe, clean environment to facilitate therapeutic care.

Under supervision of the RN, the PCT will document in the EHR, respond to call lights promptly, and participate in safety and quality initiatives in the unit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months of hospital/clinical experience in a care role preferred.
• California CNA certification and BLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and comfort.
• Record vital signs and intake/output in the EHR.
• Assist with safety, mobility, and daily tasks as directed by RN or supervisor.
• Respond to patient calls and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Follow hospital policies and participate in performance improvement activities.
