Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Equivalen t combination of relevant education and/or experience.
• Experience with EMR software (Meditech/Allscripts) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships and outstanding customer service skills.
• Performs patient check-in at the time of the visit, interviews patients and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and all clinic policies are in compliance.
• Copies/scan patient records, benefits/insurance information into the EMR system.
• Collects patient responsibility payments and answers routine insurance and billing inquiries.
• Answers phone calls, schedules appointments, ensures insurance coverage, and informs patients of needed documentation.
