Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Resident Assistant/PCA in Chesapeake, VA to provide quality care and assistance with activities of daily living. You will report incidents, support meals and mobility, and help with activities while following confidentiality policies.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, PCA program completion, and CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days. A flexible schedule including weekends and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must complete approved PCA program per state regulations.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and push or carry 25 lbs.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Must be available for a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assistance with activities of daily living for residents.
• Report incidents and care concerns to appropriate staff.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and maintain safety during emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting resident activity programs.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
