Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Chester, Virginia is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide quality care and assist residents with daily living activities.

You will report incidents, support care plans, and participate in activities while maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct. A valid PCA program completion and CPR/First Aid certification are required, with a flexible schedule including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have successfully completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations as applicable.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must follow instruction of supervisor and be a contributing member of the nursing team.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assistance with activities of daily living for residents.
• Report incidents and care concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Perform housekeeping duties and keep resident areas clean.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assist with activity programs and social engagement for residents.
• Assist residents with move-in transitions and provide emotional support.
