Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Yorktown, VA is hiring a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide quality care and assist residents with daily living activities. The role requires supporting residents, coordinating with the nursing team, and participating in activity planning.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a PCA program, strong communication skills, and ability to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have successfully completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations as applicable.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Reports incidents involving residents to include care concerns or issues to appropriate individuals (ex: HCD, RN/LPN, or ED).
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident areas as directed by supervisor.
• Respond promptly to all resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts.
• Assists in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Assists residents to and from the dining room and activities.
